(July 30)Some New York air travelers are going to have to make do without their luggage for awhile.A computer glitch has crippled the baggage handling system at the American Airlines terminal at Kennedy the airport.And the result is this… A back log of suitcases and duffel bags that has overwhelmed the airline and frustrated passengers.SOT I got here for my flight and they started to tell from that point that the belts broken and to run to ticketing area four but when you get there you see a sea of bags.The whole thing led to about 20 flights being delayed and crews had to sort the luggage by hand.The airline says it is working to resolve the situation, but until then it’s giving customers two options: wait for the problem to be fixed or fly without their bags and have the luggage delivered to them some time later. ___ ___, The Associated Press.
